West Indies beat Bangladesh by 73 runs in a Group 2 match of World T20 at Sher-e Bangla Stadium in Dhaka this evening.

Replying to Caribbeans’ 171, the Tigers’ innings packed up by 98 runs off 19.1 overs.
Caribbean opener Dwayne Smith was awarded Man of the Match for his turbulent innings of 72 runs off 43 balls.
Leg spinner Samuel Badree got three and seamers Krishmar Santokie and Andre Russell picked up two wickets each, destroying the Bangladeshi batting-order.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and sent West Indians to bat first.
Smith and Chris Gayle entertained the spectators with 72 and 48 runs respectively off 43 and 48 deliveries.

Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan and returning to the Tigers’ squad, Ziaur Rahman picked up one wicket each, while Narail Express, Mashrafe Mortaza, returning to the squad could not manage any success.
Tamim Iqbal, however, held two outstanding catches – especially one on the boundary, sending Caribbean run-machine Gayle to pavilion before reaching his half-century.
The Tigers spent way too many extras, 19 runs.
Bangladesh, earlier, passed the first phase of the tournament by a narrow margin with a defeat agaist Hong Kong in their last game, is attempting to regain their form.
Meanwhile the defending WT20 champs West Indies is trying to compensate their last Group 2 match against India.
